The early years
I may have not completely understood the world of business, however I did not know that all of the experience of small, insignificant startups, would lead up to something bigger in a few years. Around when I was five or six, I lived in Seattle and had the idea to create a company around slug removal from people's gardens in exchange for cookies. Although "The Nature Rangers" did not last long, the memory has always been a part of me growing up. Around eight of ten, I created "Harper's Pet Service" and "A+ dog walking", two companies around dog walking and my passion for animals.
Many more small business ideas shaped the drive I have today for entrepreneurship. Around January of 2017, I designed and trademarked a company called "Charming Horse". Assuming boys and girls of the Equestrian world wear bows in their hair called "pony bows", our company was just that; designing pony bows and custom pillows. All of which are hand-made and individually designed by my own grandma. While my company is local, it sells at the Equestrianconcierge.com , local to Petaluma, California at Sonoma Horse Park. The bows are also listed on Etsy and can be sold via contact with me personally on one of my social platforms.
How does this relate to my aspirations in college?
Charming Horse is incredibly important to me, and a reality I can't quite grasp yet. I don't have all of the experience I need to successfully launch a company. During the show season, we sell roughly 80% of our products we have in stock. I would love to enhance that percentage, launch the company, and evolve as an entrepreneur throughout college.
